Markham tells about traveling all over California and that Benjamin Mills is booking him all over the state. Russell Doubleday has an idea for the "Shoes". Wants them to choice the poems for Doubleday to use and get in touch with him. He writes a separate note to Anna asking her to bring out the broadside for edition. It contains extracts from the California book. The publishers both Mr. Perkins and McCann. This is unclear, his write is not clear.
